Advance Alpha DLS: Safety and Lightweight Without Compromise
The Alpha DLS is the "Durable Lightweight" version of Advance's renowned school wing. Designed for students in training and recreational pilots, it combines maximum passive safety with reduced weight, greatly facilitating carrying and ground handling phases. The DLS concept allows for a weight saving of up to 800g compared to a classic version while maintaining exceptional longevity.
Technically, the Alpha DLS features a new optimized profile offering better pressure distribution. Thanks to Air Scoop technology at the leading edge, the wing is extremely stall-resistant, with very long and progressive brake travel. It stands out for its very damped pitch and roll behavior, offering an immediate sense of serenity even in thermal conditions.
Advance's "Swiss Made" finish is omnipresent: ultra-clear risers with color codes (Easy Connect System), simplified line layout for hassle-free pre-flight checks, and the use of high-end materials like Nitinol for the rods. Whether for site flying, travel, or hike & fly, the Alpha DLS is a faithful and ultra-versatile companion.
The Alpha DLS uses Advance's "Seamless Weight Ranges". For optimal behavior, we recommend aiming for the "ideal" weight range indicated in the table. If you are at the top of the range, the wing will be more dynamic and faster; at the bottom of the range, it will be calmer and perform better in light conditions.
