Companion SQR Classic: The Original Square-Round Hybrid
The Companion SQR Classic is the first reserve parachute to have utilized Square-Round (SQR) technology. This revolutionary hybrid concept combines the best aspects of traditional round parachutes and modern square parachutes. It offers exceptional pendulum stability and very fast opening, while remaining extremely simple to repack.
Thanks to its unique shape and lateral vents, the SQR Classic guarantees a very low sink rate and a vertical descent without excessive horizontal drift. Its design has been optimized by advanced computer simulations (CFD) to ensure instant canopy inflation, even in difficult deployment conditions.
Built with materials proven for their durability, the SQR Classic is designed to last. It is the ideal reserve for pilots seeking maximum passive safety without the complex packing constraints of some square or steerable parachutes.
The SQR Classic comes with its specific POD. It is available in several sizes covering PTVs from 80 kg up to tandem (220 kg). Its longevity can reach 15 years with regular maintenance, making it one of the most cost-effective safety investments on the market.
