Detailed description
"The Rid'Air team's opinion: The Hero 2 is a true feat. Transitioning to a 2-liner while maintaining such lightness and exemplary strength thanks to new reinforcements is the holy grail for performance hike & fly and bivouac flying."
Hero 2: The Odyssey of Ultra-Light Distance Flying
The Hero 2 marks a major turning point in AirDesign's history. As an EN-D 2-liner wing, it merges the cutting-edge performance of competition gliders with the brand's cherished "Superlight durable" philosophy. Designed for cross-country enthusiasts, bivouac flying, and extreme adventures, it offers remarkable glide and stability in transitions, even in the most demanding conditions.
The 2-liner technology allows for precise and intuitive rear-riser control, optimizing your sink rate and speed. Despite its featherlight weight (starting from 3.15 kg), no compromises have been made on durability: the use of Dominico DOKDO-10DSF with double coating and the integration of Nitinol rods guarantee exceptional longevity and ultra-compact packing without deforming the profile.
The major new feature lies in the Nose Guard Patches: strategic reinforcements on the leading edge that protect the fabric against abrasion. This is the ideal wing for those who want to push their limits without adding weight, while benefiting from an efficient shark-nose and an innovative internal structure.
The Hero 2 is a high-performance EN-D (2-liner) wing. It is exclusively intended for experienced and expert pilots with regular practice and mastery of the advanced piloting techniques required for this class.
