Detailed description
"Rid'Air Team's Opinion: The Fluid is the benchmark square reserve for those who want to make no compromises on stability. Unlike round parachutes that can oscillate, the Fluid descends 'on rails'. Its descent rate is exceptionally low, ensuring a very soft ground impact. It's the ultimate safety choice for site flying and cross-country."
Supair FLUID: Square Technology for Absolute Stability
The Supair Fluid is a square (PDA) reserve parachute designed to offer superior passive safety compared to traditional hemispherical models. Its specific shape provides two major advantages: very fast opening and a complete absence of pendulum oscillations.
Thanks to its aerodynamic design, the Fluid avoids the pendulum effect often experienced during reserve descents, which significantly reduces the risk of injury upon landing. Furthermore, its descent rate is significantly lower than EN standard requirements, offering an additional safety margin, even in complex flight configurations (mirror effect with the wing).
The Fluid's packing has been simplified to remain accessible to pilots, while maintaining a compactness that allows it to be integrated into most harnesses on the market. It is a robust, durable, and extremely reliable reserve.
The Fluid comes with its packing POD. It is available in three sizes (S, M, L) covering PTVs up to 125 kg. For successful installation, carefully check the size of your harness's reserve compartment and plan for square or trapezoidal quick links of 6mm or 7mm for connection to the risers.
