Harnesses

For recreational flying and skill development, a comfortable harness with good back protection (foam or airbag) is an excellent choice. For cross-country (XC) and distance flying, pilots opt for pod harnesses, which are more aerodynamic and warmer. For hike-and-fly, lightness is prioritized. The key is back protection and in-flight comfort, because a well-adjusted harness can transform an entire day of flying.

The harness is generally independent of the wing, but the harness/wing combination influences flight behavior — we can advise you if you have any doubts. For rescue parachutes, primarily check the volume and the harness's container/pod system: not all rescue parachutes fit into all containers. We verify compatibility with you before purchase, and we can perform the installation in our workshop.

Back protection (foam or airbag) absorbs the energy from a hard landing or an impact. It's not a gadget: it is a major safety feature. An airbag inflates in flight, while a foam protector is immediately operational at takeoff. Choose according to your practice, but never compromise on it.
