Detailed description
Rid'Air team's opinion: " Speed and power are significantly increased while maintaining the stability and comfort level of its predecessor. "
VERSATILITY
The R3 is the wing capable of adapting to the most varied slopes we've tried, which doesn't prevent it from also having a good lead in terms of ease of launch and in-flight stability among wings designed for advanced pilots.
Speed has been increased for each trim position: with trims closed, a clear gain in glide performance is measured, while opening them to reach maximum speed, the R3 dives and carves even harder than the Rapi-Dos.
TECHNOLOGY
We focused our efforts on reducing drag and improving efficiency, which allowed us to increase speed and glide performance. The new line plan and work on sail tensions extend the range of slopes the wing can adapt to, without losing any high-speed stability.
LIGHT & DURABLE
New laser-cut diagonals have reduced weight without compromising the wing's durability. A lighter wing also has less inertia and therefore better agility. Durable materials chosen for the outer surfaces optimize the wing's longevity – the Rapido 3 will provide enjoyment for many years under normal use. For you, these developments facilitate launching, allow for faster turns or barrel rolls, not to mention the value the wing retains on the used market.
THE PILOT
The Rapido 3 is designed for pilots who have at least one full season under a heavily loaded intermediate wing, such as a Fazer. The Rapido 3 offers a level of speed, maneuverability, and energy during ground passes that provides access to the quintessence of this sport.
WING LOADING
The wing is available in sizes from 6m to 15m. The 6m version is reserved for expert pilots who already have experience with wings like the Rapido. Choosing a surface area from 8m to 13m allows you to select your desired wing loading, while the 15m size is accessible to a wider variety of pilots.
