Detailed description
The Sora Evo is Sup'Air's EN B tandem paraglider, for professionals doing many rotations as well as for recreational tandem pilots. Three sizes cover PTVs from 110 to 230 kg. We haven't flown it ourselves yet, so we're relying on what Sup'Air publishes. If your current tandem is in good condition and suitable for your passengers, save your money.
A word from the manufacturer
Sup'Air highlights three points: passenger comfort, ease of takeoff, and robust construction. The manufacturer announces filtered pitch and roll, and a fluid and precise turn.
Technologies and innovations
- 54 cells, flat aspect ratio of 5.35 on all three sizes.
- Fabrics according to size: Porcher Skytex in 38, Dominico and MJ Tex in 42 and 44.
- Line set Liros and Edelrid.
- 4 risers with trimmers.
Behavior and safety
The Sora Evo is EN B and LTF certified in all three sizes. Tandem flight requires a tandem qualification, and equipment checked more often than for solo flight: our workshop performs revisions and repacks tandem reserves.
Who is it for? And which size?
For professional, club, or private tandem pilots. The size is chosen based on the PTV, which is the total flying weight for two, fully equipped: 38 from 110 to 190 kg, 42 from 120 to 220 kg, 44 from 120 to 230 kg. Place your usual PTV towards the middle of the range, not at the limit: let's discuss it if you're unsure. Three colors: Sunset, Topaz and Volcano.
