Detailed description
"Rid'Air Team's Opinion: The Hiko P is Niviuk's answer for pilots who want the lightness of a mountain wing but the glide performance of a cross-country wing. Positioned between the Hook P and the Ikuma P, it's an incredibly balanced 'Mid-B'. It takes off effortlessly and glides like a high-performance wing, all with a ridiculously small packing volume."
Niviuk Hiko P: The Essence of Hike & Fly Performance
The Niviuk Hiko P is a lightweight EN-B wing, specifically developed for hike & fly enthusiasts who want to make no compromises between accessibility and glide performance. Perfectly situated in the middle of Niviuk's "Plume" range, it offers more performance than a Hook P while being more accessible and lighter than an Ikuma P. It's the ideal progression wing for sky adventurers.
Thanks to the extensive use of Nitinol for its internal structure and ultra-light fabrics (Skytex 27), the Hiko P stands out with immediate inflation and a record-low weight. Its optimized internal architecture minimizes drag, offering efficient glide into the wind, a major asset when clearing a high mountain summit. Take-off is a breeze, even in nil-wind conditions or on technical terrain.
In flight, the Hiko P is a model of serenity. It transmits air mass information gently, allowing for precise and intuitive thermal flying. Its compactness when folded allows it to be paired with ultra-light harnesses to create a complete setup weighing less than 5 or 6 kg, ideal for long ascents or paragliding mountaineering.
The Hiko P is a "Plume" wing. Its ultra-light construction requires particular care on the ground, especially on abrasive or snowy take-offs. Avoid prolonged strong wind inflations to preserve the lifespan of your fabric.
