TheAirDesign The Sock is a lightweight pod harness designed for everyday use, whether for cross-country (XC) flying or hike & fly. Its concept is based on simplified ergonomics and "tailor-made" comfort, thanks to stretchy and robust materials that perfectly conform to the pilot's body.
In flight, The Sock stands out for its exceptional stability for a harness in this weight category. It offers precise yet dampened feedback, ideal for staying calm during long thermal flights. Its two-buckle closure system is simple and secure, preventing any confusion during pre-flight checks.
Safety is also a priority with an innovative inflatable protection that allows for significant volume reduction when packed while offering excellent impact test results. Furthermore, it integrates a reserve parachute container under the seat with a very accessible ergonomic handle.
The Sock comes with its inflatable protection, inflation bag, reserve handle, and carabiners. Its compactness when deflated is impressive: it fits into the narrowest carrying bags (like the AirDesign 50L or 70L). Caution: as with any lightweight pod harness, be careful not to wear overly abrasive shoes to preserve the longevity of the pod fabric.
