Detailed description
"The Rid'Air team's opinion: The Niviuk Kooper P is a revolutionary harness that embodies versatility and lightness. We tested it, and it excels for Hike & Fly thanks to its featherlight weight and modularity. Its 3D design ensures exceptional comfort, even during long thermal flights, and its stability will reassure progressing pilots. Soaring and speed flying enthusiasts will appreciate the freedom of movement offered by its separate leg straps. It's the ideal choice for pilots looking for an all-in-one harness, capable of adapting to all their aerial adventures, without compromising on safety or enjoyment."
From the manufacturer
Niviuk introduces the Kooper P, its most versatile reversible harness. Designed to be 'All-in-one', it features separate leg straps and a modular structure to adapt to various disciplines: Hike & Fly, thermal progression, soaring, and even speed flying. Lightweight, ergonomic, compact, and safe, it boasts a high-performance airbag and an integrated rescue parachute compartment, all starting from 2,09 kg.
Technologies & Innovations
- Extreme Modularity: The Kooper P's design allows its weight to be reduced by up to 70%. With a few manipulations, you can remove the outer part, the airbag, and the parachute to keep only the chassis, transforming the harness into ultra-light equipment, perfect for ground handling, dune soaring, and speed flying.
- Reversible and Adaptable: The harness and backpack are delivered together, but the backpack is fully removable. You can choose to use the Kooper P in reversible mode (connected by zipper) or independently, offering maximum flexibility for your transport needs.
- Lightness and Durability: Crafted with the latest generation materials, the Kooper P primarily uses D70 fabric, which is extremely light and resistant. The most exposed areas, such as the base of the airbag and backpack, are reinforced with robust materials (420D Oxford and 210D) for optimal durability without compromising weight.
- Comfort and 3D Design: The Kooper P's structure is 3D modeled to maximize ergonomics. The separate leg straps ensure optimal stability and comfort in flight. The back integrates compact foam for excellent support, allowing increased freedom of movement and a natural fit.
- Separate Leg Straps for Ground Handling: The red metal piece between the legs can be detached to offer greater freedom of movement during ground handling or soaring. For full flight, it is recommended to lock it for increased stability and comfort.
- Precise Adjustments: The chest strap, back tilt strap, and shoulder straps are fully adjustable to perfectly fit each pilot's body shape.
- Integrated Accessories: The Kooper P includes an ultralight P Series speed bar with double rungs. The rear pocket is spacious with a full zipper closure, and Velcro is added on the left shoulder to attach your flight instruments.
- Ergonomic Backpack: Inspired by Expe bags, the backpack is light, practical, and comfortable. It offers a base capacity of 67 L (S/M) expandable to 85 L (L), with flask pockets on the shoulder straps, large Lycra and zippered side pockets, a zippered pocket on the chest strap, and an attachment for poles/ice axe.
Safety & Certification
Safety is at the core of the Kooper P's design. Its airbag offers excellent impact absorption, even from takeoff, thanks to its self-inflating system. A dedicated rescue parachute compartment is integrated inside the airbag, ensuring quick installation and easy extraction via an accessible handle on the right side.
For those seeking increased safety, it is possible to add a second rescue parachute (or install one if you fly only with the chassis) by complementing the harness with the Kase P. The Kooper P is EN/LTF certified, attesting to its high level of safety and performance.
