Niviuk OCTAGON 2: Absolute Stability Through Shape
The Niviuk Octagon 2 is a uniquely designed reserve parachute. Its revolutionary octagonal shape has been specifically developed to offer exceptional pendulum stability. Unlike classic round models, the straight sides of the Octagon 2 act as natural stabilizers, preventing the swinging effect during descent.
This increased stability is not its only asset. The Octagon 2 stands out with an ultra-fast opening speed, crucial for low-altitude safety. Thanks to optimized fabric porosity and precise geometry, it offers a very low sink rate (4.9 m/s at max load), ensuring a much softer ground impact for the pilot.
In this second version, Niviuk has succeeded in further reducing the parachute's weight without compromising its robustness. It is manufactured with high-quality materials that prevent fabric sticking, thus facilitating its deployment even after a long period of non-use.
The Octagon 2 comes with its specific POD. It is available in 6 sizes covering PTVs from 80 kg up to 215 kg (tandem). Its shape makes it as simple to pack as a traditional round reserve. For optimal installation, ensure you have a square or trapezoidal quick link suitable for your risers.
