Detailed description
These Niviuk Light spreaders are the lightest option in Niviuk's range of tandem spreaders: 60 g announced by the manufacturer. Designed for mountain tandem flying and hike & fly, when every gram counts on the ascent. For intensive school activity, rigid spreaders remain more practical. If your current spreaders are in good condition, save your money.
From the Manufacturer
Niviuk presents the Light spreaders as the lightweight version of its tandem spreader range, alongside the soft and rigid models, weighing 60 g.
According to Niviuk's pricing, they are listed as Dyneema and sold as a pair. Carabiners are not supplied.
Technologies and Innovations
- Dyneema webbing: minimal weight and bulk in the bag.
- One pilot loop and one passenger loop per spreader.
Handling and Safety
Spreaders are part of the safety chain, just like carabiners: visual inspection before each flight, replacement at the slightest doubt. Carabiners are not supplied, and these spreaders are not designed for quick-release carabiners. The method of attaching the wing's risers and the tandem rescue depends on your setup: we will check it with you before purchase.
Who is it for?
For the tandem pilot who hikes up with their tandem wing and seeks to lighten their kit. If you fly tandem every day from a road accessible launch, rigid spreaders will be more comfortable for setting up the passenger.
