The school wing that teaches you to brake well
The PRION 5 is Nova's beginner paraglider: a three-line, 33-cell EN A, designed for first training slopes, initial high flights, and progression towards autonomy. Robust, forgiving, and packed with smart pedagogical ideas.
Color-coded brakes, a world first
The smartest innovation of the PRION 5, developed with the DHV: brake lines with a color gradient, from green to yellow then to red. At a glance, the student visualizes their brake travel — green and yellow zones for piloting, red zone for the flare during landing. A simple and effective safeguard against over-piloting and unintentional stalls.
Stable, simple, reassuring
With a flat aspect ratio of 4.42 and a reduced arch, the PRION 5 is very stable in roll. Its 33 cells with half-cell rods ensure easy inflation and a clean leading edge in flight. Takeoff is straightforward, landing is forgiving, and the wing communicates just enough to learn how to read the aerology.

Cyrille's advice: This is typically the wing we put in the hands of a student at the end of a course or a pilot who flies infrequently and wants extra margin. We've seen the difference with the colored brakes on training slopes: students understand the flare twice as fast. If you're already aiming for small cross-country flights, you might want to look at the AONIC instead.
