Nova's lightweight EN C 2-liner, designed for cross-country adventure
The VORTEX is Nova's lightweight EN C two-liner: only 3.1 kg in size XXXS, an aspect ratio of 6.1 — within the accessible range for its class — and all the 2-liner expertise inherited from the XENON. A wing designed for demanding cross-country, hike & fly, and vol-biv, without the commitment of a D-class wing.
Light and compact, without fragility
The leading edge rods are made of nitinol, the shape-memory alloy that doesn't crease: you can compress the VORTEX at the bottom of a hiking pack, and it comes out perfectly. The lightweight construction is targeted — grams are saved where it doesn't compromise durability.
Rear-riser control, comfort version
The carbon B-handles, adjustable in height, adapt to your body shape and harness: accelerated transition control becomes natural and less tiring. With its contained aspect ratio, the VORTEX remains homogeneous and readable in strong thermals — the performance of a modern 2-liner, with added serenity.

Cyrille's advice : the VORTEX plays in the same league as the CODEX, with a big bonus in lightness — it's the one I recommend to cross-country pilots who hike before flying or who go vol-biv. You need to be an autonomous and active C-class pilot; the small XXXS and XXS sizes are a godsend for lightweight pilots, a rare commodity in 2-liners.
