Detailed description
"Rid'Air Team's Opinion: The Alpina 5 is the perfect symbiosis between 2-line technology and Ozone's legendary accessibility. Lighter, more incisive, and absolutely serene in turbulence, it's the ultimate weapon for hike & fly distance without the stress of a competition wing."
Ozone Alpina 5: The Accessible 2-Line Revolution
The fifth generation of the Alpina marks a historic turning point by adopting the 2-line architecture. Directly derived from the development of the Delta 5 and the Lyght, the Alpina 5 offers an unparalleled performance/comfort ratio in the EN-C category. Designed for cross-country and vol-bivouac pilots, it combines an ultra-light structure with glide efficiency worthy of much higher aspect ratio models.
Thanks to its 2-line architecture, the Alpina 5 allows direct control of the angle of attack via the rear risers, offering remarkable pitch stability, even at full speed. Its low aspect ratio (6.07) gives it exemplary compactness and solidity, absorbing turbulence to transform every air mass movement into altitude gain. Handling has become more direct, more precise, while retaining the playful and intuitive turn that is the DNA of the Alpina series.
Weight savings have been optimized thanks to a complex internal structure inherited from the Zeolite GT, using high-end materials such as Dominico 20D and Porcher 7000. The result: a wing that inflates effortlessly in no wind and remains perfectly docile in strong conditions. The Alpina 5 is not just a lightweight wing; it's a "True Performance" machine ready to take you further, with less fatigue and more enjoyment.
The Alpina 5 is a performance wing classified EN-C. It is intended for intermediate to experienced pilots (minimum 70h/year recommended) wishing to access 2-line technology with high passive safety.
