Detailed description
The Angel V2 is Ozone's round reserve: simple, lightweight, and designed primarily for reliability. Three sizes cover loads up to 140 kg. We've never had to open it for real, and we wish you the same. If you want a reserve that descends flat with less oscillation, check out the Angel SQ V2 instead. If your current reserve is recent, well-sized, and freshly packed, keep your money.
A word from the manufacturer
Ozone presents the Angel V2 as a lightweight round reserve, optimized for safety rather than weight. The surfaces are chosen for a contained descent rate, and the weight remains low in each size.
Technologies and innovations
- Round canopy: proven design, simple opening, no steering required.
- RSQ N20D fabric: lightweight parachute fabric.
- Polyamide lines: an elastic material that absorbs the opening shock.
- Two bridles to choose from: short 25 cm bridle for harnesses equipped with integrated reserve risers, long 140 cm Y-bridle for harnesses that do not have them.
- Deployment pod included in both versions.
Behavior and safety
The Angel V2 is EN 12491 and LTF 91/09 certified. Ozone publishes a descent rate of 5.2 m/s for the 90 and 110 sizes, and 5.24 m/s for the 140 size, measured at maximum load. When loaded below the maximum, you will descend a little more gently. Like any round reserve, it oscillates more than a square reserve: this is the compromise for its simplicity. Compatibility with your harness and container should be checked before purchase, and repacking should be done regularly by a professional (our workshop handles this).
Who is it for? And which size?
For the pilot who wants a simple and certified round reserve, from school to cross-country flying. The size corresponds to the maximum load: 90 up to 90 kg, 110 up to 110 kg, 140 up to 140 kg. Calculate your all-up weight (pilot, harness, wing, reserve, and bag), not your naked weight, and keep some margin. For the bridle, choose the short one if your harness already has its reserve risers, otherwise choose the long Y-bridle. In doubt? Call us, we'll check with you.

Long Y-bridle: add 20 g to the indicated weight. Values from the Ozone website, where the size corresponds to the maximum load. The Ozone manual indicates for the 90 size a certified load of 95 kg and a descent rate of 5.47 m/s: the two manufacturer sources diverge, we stick to the more conservative value.
