Ozone Submarine 1.5

The Submarine 1.5 is Ozone's competition pod harness. Every detail is designed to minimize drag. We haven't flown it ourselves yet, so we're relying on what Ozone publishes. It's a racing harness, with the compromises in versatility that implies. If you're not into competition or serious cross-country flying, a more versatile pod harness will make you happier, and save you money.

From the Manufacturer

Ozone presents the Submarine as the result of five years of development, wind tunnel work, and testing with competition pilots, with one goal: to minimize drag. Version 1.5 retains the original structure and is now in its fifth generation of fairing.

• Wind tunnel-designed fairing: smooth profile from head to toe.
• Magnetic pod closure, hands-free.
• Double-slider chest strap closure.
• Large magnetic flap for instrument access.
• Large side pockets for long flights.
• Extended rescue compartment zipper on this version, for a cleaner extraction.

Handling and Safety

The Submarine 1.5 is EN 1651:2018 certified, with a maximum load of 120 kg, across all three sizes. This is a competition harness: installation, adjustments, and reserve extraction should be practiced on the ground before flying, ideally under a gantry. We'll assist you with adjustments if you purchase it from us.

Who is it for? And what size?

For competition or serious cross-country pilots who already fly a pod harness. Size is chosen based on your height: S for 160 to 176 cm, M for 173 to 186 cm, L for 183 to 194 cm. If you're between two sizes, call us: body shape is as important as height. Five colors to choose from: Blue, Yellow, Red, Lime, and Orange.
