The Essence of Hike & Fly: Ultra-Light, Ultra-Versatile
The fourth generation of Advance's renowned PI series reaches a new milestone with the designation ULS (Ultra Light Structure). Designed for mountain enthusiasts and hike-and-fly pilots, this wing combines minimal weight (from 1.65 kg) with thermal flying performance and agility that will delight the most demanding pilots. Whether you're into committed para-alpinism or relaxed recreational flying, the PI ULS adapts to your style thanks to its extended weight ranges (Thermal, Hike & Fly, and Mini-Wing).
The major innovation lies in its filigree internal structure, inherited from the development of the competition Omega ULS. The use of Nitinol rods across the entire span not only guarantees valuable weight savings but also perfect profile stability and an ultra-compact packing volume. The Edelrid Pro Dry lines, extremely stable and water-resistant, greatly simplify untangling while boosting the wing's glide performance.
The behavior and certification of the PI ULS vary depending on the wing loading. In "Mini-Wing" range, the wing becomes very dynamic and requires active piloting from an experienced pilot (EN-C or D certification depending on size).
