Way Gliders Ruby 2: Intuitive Progression
The Ruby 2 is an EN-B (access) category wing designed by Way Gliders to accompany pilots from their first flights out of school and during their initial years of practice. It focuses on passive safety and ease of use, while offering surprising performance for its category. It's the ideal tool for those looking for a wing capable of doing everything: from local flights to first cross-country flights, including hike & fly thanks to its contained weight.
Thanks to extensive work on the internal structure and line plan, the Ruby 2 offers effortless inflation, with no hard points or tendency to overshoot. In flight, it is characterized by great pitch stability, filtering turbulence to allow the pilot to concentrate on their piloting and air mass analysis. Its turn is progressive and precise, allowing for easy thermal coreing.
In terms of construction, Way Gliders uses robust and durable materials (Porcher Skytex 38), ensuring that your wing will retain its flight characteristics for many years. The line plan is optimized to reduce drag while facilitating untangling at takeoff. The Ruby 2 proves that an accessible wing can also be a high-performance and elegant machine.
