The Ruby 2 HF (Hike & Fly) is the lightweight version of the renowned Ruby 2. Positioned in the "High B" segment, it is designed for regular pilots seeking a high-performance wing for distance flying while maintaining a compact and light pack (starting from 3.3 kg). It brilliantly combines a glide ratio greater than 10 with reassuring passive safety.
The Ruby 2 HF's behavior is characterized by incisive thermal climbing and excellent stability in accelerated flight. Thanks to the use of lightweight fabrics (Dominico 27g), inertia is reduced, making inflation even more straightforward and handling more agile than the standard version. Its aspect ratio of 5.7 gives it a sleek look and a glide performance that rivals higher categories.
Technically, Way Gliders has integrated a riser system allowing for efficient B/C steering, simulating the feel of a 2-liner wing. The hybrid Dyneema/Kevlar line set ensures excellent trim stability over time.
